Friday Morning

Friday is a time for reflection of what has been done and what needs to be done.  So, we cleaned up our art site (http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/latitude-59.html?tab=artwork) and pulled out a lot of stock quality photos and are going to cut deeper.  The goal there is to get it to art only which will match nicely with our 3 traveling sets of 4 pieces for art shows.

Found an app ($6- SetmyCamera) that claims that it will control our D7000 cameras.  Then discovered the iPad/iphones don't have an IR transmitter.  After an hour of searching, found one that should work for ($15) which should be here next week.

The app does have a really nice Depth of Field calculator which has already explained why a tree (50 yards away) was in focus and the stars behind it were.  Turned out the trees weren't at infinity with a 50mm, F/1.8.  The F-stop would have had to be 2.8 for both to be in focus.  Nice math experiment but cost us a night of good green auroras.
